MessageMy Uncle Don Brown Was wounded in acton in Korea. The story he told me is that he was with a machine gun crew and was overrun by a Chinese mass charge. I would like to see if he was in the Battle of Chosen Reservoir or in another. My Uncle was from Sterling, Illinois and I believe in the Marine Corps.

MessageMy father, HAROLD C.LONG, was on the USS QUINCY in battle 360. I dont know his rank or dog tag number. He was born in Covington, Va February1926. He said he was in the ocean at Japan when they dropped the bomb. It is something he would never talk of. He passed away in September 2000. If there is a way I can find some info on him, it would ease my heart. I know he served with a guy named VanLandingham, last name. Thank you for any help you can furnish. My thanks, Phyllis Jean Vance

MessageI was a year out of high school when the Korean War began in 1950 and I joined the Army for 3 years. After combat engineer training at Ft. Belvoir, VA, I was sent directly to C Co., 10th Engr Cmbt Bn, 65th RCT, 3rd Inf Div. Eleven months later I was at Ft. Bliss, TX in a counter-intel undercover job, monitoring activities in secret guided missile tests. At end of enlistment, I used GI Bill to attend college, then graduate school, and made a lifetime career as an archaeologist, specializing in Native American material culture in the SW U.S.A. Without the Korean War and the GI Bill, I might have continued a career in pipeline construction

MessageMy Grandfather was Paul Hazelwood. He was part of George Company, 31st infantry, 2nd battalion. Anyone having information about that division or who may have remembered him or served with him please contact me. He helped bring an African American man who had died from the front line and he has been wanting to find out who that is.
