Message | I am researching information about my first cousin, Cpl. Donald Eugene Jeter who served with the Medical Company, 31st Inf. Regiment and who died at the Chosin Reservoir on or about 12-1-50. I believe that he was wounded at a roadblock on Hill 1221 and was later killed when a mortar round hit the ambulance in which he had been placed. I am looking for anyone who had personal contact with Cpl. Jeter. |

Message | Landed in Korea July1950. Able Co. 5th Regimental Combat Team. Stayed on line as a B.A.R.man until 4-23-51, when I was captured by the Chinks. Many men died on the marches and in the camps. Was returned to U.N. control August 23, 1953. It was an honor to have known these men. I hope they will be remembered for the warriors that they were. Freedom is not free. |
