Message | My father died on Feb 2, 1953 David W Bolstad. I found him here on this website. I was born May 7, 1953 and you have touched me with a bit of his life. I did not know he was a medical tech. Social Security said he never existed when my mom was trying to get medicare, so I was just looking to see what I could find. God Bless you for this site. |

Message | I am a Veteran of the Korean War. 3rd. Battalion The Royal Canadian Regiment. Our Battalion left Seattle Washington with 2900 American troops on March 1st 1953. that day I turned 19 years old. We went to Korea on The General CC Balou. It took us 21 days to get to Yokahama Japan. After the cease fire we became Peace Keepers for the remaider of the year. I worked on the KANSAS LINE at the DMZ. I am now 75 years old and am active in the Canadian KoreaVeterans Association.I feel very sorry for the Families of the all Men that lost their lives in Korea. We freed them from Communism and they have a better life now. Freedom is not Free. Leo. |

Message | Looking for anyone who knew my father, Harold L. Pinnell, who served with the 70th Heavy Tank battalion, out of Ft. Knox, serving in Korea. He was MIA, one of 41 soldiers of Company B who were killed or missing during the battles around Unsan in early November 1950. Or if you were with the 70th Heavy Tank Battalion during those battles, whether or not you knew my father. Thanks. |
